ABOUT

HEARTS OF EDUCATION LLC

Hearts of Education LLC began in 2004 as the vision of a mother that saw the need for a bridge between concepts presented at school and student comprehension. She began to create a model for effective supplemental education.

Lakeithia Walker began Hearts of Education as a preschool curriculum hoping to provide students with early academic intervention opportunities.  As she saw the need for additional academic support in the upper levels of the academic community - middle and high school - she began to broaden the scope of student development.

"Educational Outcomes of Tutoring"

Tutored students outperformed control students on examinations, and they also developed positive attitudes toward the subject matter covered in the tutorial programs. The meta-analysis also showed that tutoring programs have positive effects on children who serve as tutors. Like the children they helped, the tutors gained a better understanding of and developed more positive attitudes toward the subject matter covered in the tutorial program

CLASS SIZE INCREASES

"Teachers struggle to ensure that every child is keeping up with the material and receiving the personal attention he or she needs"

A tutor can aid in the development of a learning strategy for specific problems the student is facing. The tutor will utilize techniques that focus on the students' strengths, encouraging a better understanding of the concept.

Tutoring can help your child with time management skills, personal organizations, and strong study habits.
